Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC), 9-5 in a league game.

The Trojans (3-6) will now prepare for their game against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Cardinals go into the Northwest 1A game with a 5-7 record. In their last game, East Wilkes was overwhelmed by South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC), 6-3, in a league game.
