North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC), 8-7 in a league test.

With the win, North Stokes upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Vikings travel to Langtree Charter (Mooresville, NC) to battle the Lions in a non-league test on Monday, March 21. The Lions come into the test with a record of 4-2. Langtree Charter won 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Bradford Prep (Charlotte, NC)

With the defeat, Elkin falls to 3-3 on the season. The Buckin' elks host East Wilkes (Ronda, NC) to battle the Cardinals in a Northwest 1A test on Tuesday, March 22. The Cardinals come into the test with a record of 3-5. East Wilkes lost 5-1 in their recent league test against Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC)
