Georgia High School Baseball - Banks County defeats Oglethorpe County
April 4, 2025: Lexington, GA 30648 The crowd at Friday's league battle between the Banks County Leopards (Homer, GA) and the host Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA), saw Banks County's baseball team gain a win over Oglethorpe County by a tally of 8-0.
The Leopards (21-3) will now prepare for their battle against Elbert County (Elberton, GA). The Blue Devils enter the A D1 Region 8 battle with a 16-9 record. In their last battle, Elbert County was overwhelmed by Rabun County (Tiger, GA), 5-4, in a league battle.
Next, the Patriots face the Providence Christian Academy Storm (Lilburn, GA) in a A D1 Region 8 battle, on Wednesday, April 9. Oglethorpe County will attempt to upgrade on its 9-16 season record. The Storm enter the battle with a 18-5 record after their 12-0 league win over Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy (Winder, GA).
