The Alexander Central Cougars baseball team scored 15 runs and held the host Ashe County Huskies to 0 in the Cougars non-league win on Friday.

The Cougars now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Watauga for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 8. Alexander Central will clash with a Pioneers team coming off a 12-7 non-league loss to Weddington (Matthews, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 7-5.

With the defeat, Ashe County drops to 2-9 on the year. The Huskies host Hibriten (Lenoir, NC) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 8. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 3-6.
