The Freedom Patriots baseball squad (Morganton, NC), was overwhelmed 12-4 in Tuesday's league contest with the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC)

With the triumph, Alexander Central advances its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC) to encounter the Huskies in a non-league outing on Friday, April 4. The Huskies enter the outing with a record of 2-8. Ashe County lost 23-1 in their recent non-league outing against West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC)

The Patriots (0-6) will now prepare for their outing against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Panthers enter the non-league outing with a 3-6 record. In their last outing, Hibriten was overwhelmed by South Caldwell (Hudson, NC), 14-5, in a league outing.
