The Coal City Coalers the visiting Morris Redskins softball squad by a count of 17-15 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Coalers play the Peotone Blue Devils (Peotone, IL) in a Illinois Central Eight challenge, on Monday, April 7. Coal City will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 7-1 league loss to Manteno (Manteno, IL).
