Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA) supporters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting South Side Rams (Hookstown, PA), 7-0 in a league game.

With the triumph, Union Area improves its record to 5-1 on the year. The Scotties travel to New Castle (New Castle, PA) to play the Hurricanes in a non-league game on Thursday, April 24. The Hurricanes enter the game with a record of 4-5.

The Rams now hold a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Sewickley Academy for a WPIAL 1A 1 game on Friday, April 11. South Side will play a squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Cornell (Coraopolis, PA). The record now stands at 7-0.
