Game Summary
LA SALLE LACKS RHYTHM IN LOSS TO CATHEDRAL
Friday, April 19, 2024 – Afterwards, it may have been La Salle that was hosting the party but during the game it was Cathedral Prep that did all the dancing as the Cardinals lost 1-11 against the Crusaders on Randall’s Island.
After being spotted a one-run lead, La Salle starter, Anthony Gonzalez, took the mound in the bottom of the first and never found his groove giving up five runs in the frame on four hits and three walks. The Cardinal defense committed four errors and had several other “non-plays” that contributed to the overall downfall on this day. For Cathedral, after struggling in the first, pitcher, James Molloy, settled in and only gave up the one run while striking out 9 over four innings of work.
On Deck: La Salle is back in action on Saturday, April 20th on the road at Iona Prep in New Rochelle. First pitch is for 1:00pm
