CARDINALS ECLIPED BY EAGLES
Saturday, April 6, 2024 – A tight game turned into a lopsided loss as La Salle Academy dropped CHSAA (Catholic High School Athletics Association) league opener 3-12 against St. Edmund Prep at McGuire Field in Brooklyn. Up by one-run in the bottom of the fifth, a La Salle infield error opened the floodgates as the Eagles plated eight runs to take a commanding lead and make a loser out of Cardinals started, Anthony Gonzalez (0-3).

La Salle freshmen, Ryan Gallaher, picked up his first varsity hit, delivering and RBI double down the left field line that temporarily gave the Cardinals the lead before their sun disappeared behind the Eagles wings.
