The Gateway Christian Warriors (Roswell, NM) baseball trounced the host Melrose Buffaloes (Melrose, NM), 26-1 in Friday's league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dora for a A District 1 challenge on Monday, April 21. Gateway Christian will clash with a Coyotes team coming off a 14-11 league win over Floyd (Floyd, NM). The Coyotes record now stands at 4-9.

With the defeat, Melrose drops to 7-8 on the year. The Buffaloes host Elida (Elida, NM) to clash with the Tigers in a A District 1 challenge on Monday, April 21. The Tigers go into the challenge with a record of 5-3. Elida won 28-7 in their recent league challenge against Floyd (Floyd, NM)
