The Preston Knights softball squad (Kingwood, WV), was routed 10-1 in Wednesday's non-league contest with the visiting University Hawks (Morgantown, WV)

With the triumph, University improves its record to 16-3 on the year. The Hawks travel to Wheeling Central Catholic (Wheeling, WV) to face the Maroon Knights in a non-league contest on Thursday, April 24. The Maroon Knights enter the contest with a record of 8-4. Wheeling Central Catholic lost 5-2 in their recent non-league contest against Martins Ferry (Martins Ferry, OH)

The Knights now hold a 3-11 record. They play next when they host North Marion for a Big Ten contest on Wednesday, April 23. Preston will face a Huskies squad coming off a 10-1 league loss to Brooke (Wellsburg, WV). The Huskies record now stands at 6-11.
