April 25, 2024: Summersville, WV 26651 The Shady Spring Tigers (Shady Spring, WV) softball routed the host Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV), 7-1 in Thursday's league bout.
The Tigers (10-5) will now prepare for their bout against James Monroe (Lindside, WV). The Mavericks go into the Coalfield A bout with a 0-5 record. In their last bout, James Monroe was routed by Greenbrier West (Charmco, WV), 18-0, in a league bout.
The Grizzlies now possess a 9-13 record. They play next when they travel to Braxton County for a non-league bout on Friday, April 26. Nicholas County will confront a Eagles squad coming off a 15-14 non-league win over Wirt County (Elizabeth, WV). The Eagles record now stands at 3-19.
