The crowd at Saturday's league battle between the The Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA) and the host Fishburne Military Caissons (Waynesboro, VA), saw The Covenant's baseball team beat Fishburne Military by a margin of 7-0.

The Eagles (11-5) will now prepare for their battle against Eastern Mennonite (Harrisonburg, VA). The Flames enter the VISAA Virginia Independent battle with a 2-8 record. In their last battle, Eastern Mennonite was overwhelmed by Life Christian Academy (Chester, VA), 21-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Caissons face the Virginia Episcopal School Bishops (Lynchburg, VA) in a VISAA Virginia Independent battle, on Monday, April 28. Fishburne Military will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Bishops enter the battle with a 10-5 record after their 16-4 non-league loss to Highland (Warrenton, VA).
