Virginia High School Baseball - Blue Ridge wallops Fishburne Military

The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Blue Ridge Barons (St. George, VA) and the visiting Fishburne Military Caissons (Waynesboro, VA), saw Blue Ridge's baseball team gain a win over Fishburne Military by a tally of 12-2.

The Barons (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Eastern Mennonite (Harrisonburg, VA). The Flames enter the VISAA Virginia Independent battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Eastern Mennonite prevailed over Shenandoah Valley Academy (New Market, VA), 12-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Caissons face the North Cross Raiders (Roanoke, VA) in a VISAA Virginia Independent battle, on Tuesday, April 8. Fishburne Military will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Raiders enter the battle with a 6-4 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Christian Heritage Academy (Rocky Mount, VA).
