Virginia High School Baseball - The Covenant wallops Eastern Mennonite

The crowd at Tuesday's league battle between the The Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA) and the host Eastern Mennonite Flames (Harrisonburg, VA), saw The Covenant's baseball team gain a win over Eastern Mennonite by a tally of 28-4.

The Eagles (12-5) will now prepare for their battle against Roanoke Catholic (Roanoke, VA). The Celtics enter the battle with a 2-12 record. In their last battle, Roanoke Catholic thwarted Jefferson Christian Academy (Ripplemead, VA), 14-0, in a league challenge.

With the defeat, Eastern Mennonite drops to 2-9 on the year. The Flames host Fishburne Military (Waynesboro, VA) to clash with the Caissons in a VISAA Virginia Independent challenge on Thursday, May 1. The Caissons go into the challenge with a record of 2-9. Fishburne Military lost 18-4 in their recent league challenge against Virginia Episcopal School (Lynchburg, VA)
