Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains (Bascom, OH) backers left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Lakota Raiders (Kansas, OH), 17-10 in a league game.

With the triumph, Hopewell-Loudon upgrades its record to 12-7 on the year. The Chieftains travel to Old Fort (Old Fort, OH) to play the Stockaders in a Sandusky Bay - River game on Monday, May 5. The Stockaders enter the game with a record of 2-13. Old Fort won 11-9 in their recent league game against Danbury (Lakeside, OH)

The Raiders now own a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to Elmwood for a non-league game on Thursday, May 1. Lakota will play a Royals squad coming off a 19-2 league win over Riverdale (Mt. Blanchard, OH). The Royals record now stands at 12-6.
