In Monday's league test, the Calvert Senecas (Tiffin, OH) softball squad the visiting Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains (Bascom, OH), by a tally of 6-2.

Next, the Senecas clash with the St. Joseph Central Catholic Crimson Streaks (Fremont, OH) in a Sandusky Bay - River test, on Thursday, May 1. Calvert will attempt to advance on its 13-2 season record. The Crimson Streaks go into the test with a 6-6 record after their 14-7 non-league win over Northwood (Northwood, OH).

The Chieftains (11-7) will now prepare for their test against Lakota (Kansas, OH). The Raiders go into the Sandusky Bay - River test with a 6-6 record. In their last test, Lakota was routed by Gibsonburg (Gibsonburg, OH), 11-8, in a league test.
