Virginia High School Softball - Bland County can't get by Auburn
May 5, 2025: Rocky Gap, VA 24366 Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) supporters left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA), 1-0 in a league game.
With the triumph, Auburn improves its record to 12-4 on the year. The Eagles host Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league game on Tuesday, May 6. The Mustangs enter the game with a record of 8-5. Eastern Montgomery won 16-0 in their recent league game against Narrows (Narrows, VA)
The Bears now hold a 1-13 record. They play next when they host Eastern Montgomery for a non-league game on Friday, May 9. Bland County will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Auburn (Riner, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 8-6.
