The Middletown Islanders baseball squad (Middletown, RI), was overwhelmed 14-2 in Wednesday's league contest with the visiting Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI)

With the triumph, Ponaganset moves its record to 7-9 on the season. The Chieftains travel to Johnston (Johnston, RI) to confront the Panthers in a Division 2 contest on Friday, May 9. The Panthers come into the contest with a record of 2-10. Johnston lost 4-0 in their recent league contest against Prout (Wakefield, RI)

The Islanders now possess a 4-8 record. They take the field next when they host Rogers for a Division 2 challenge on Saturday, May 10. Middletown will clash with a Vikings team coming off a 7-5 league loss to Johnston (Johnston, RI). The Vikings record now stands at 4-10.
