The Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains softball squad (Bascom, OH), was routed 8-1 in Saturday's non-league contest with the visiting Calvert Senecas (Tiffin, OH)

With the triumph, Calvert improves its record to 19-4 on the year. The Senecas travel to Columbian (Tiffin, OH) to face the Tornadoes in a non-league contest on Monday, May 26. The Tornadoes enter the contest with a record of 10-16. Columbian lost 8-7 in their recent non-league contest against Norwalk (Norwalk, OH)

The Chieftains now hold a 18-9 record.
