Cambria Heights Highlanders (Patton, PA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host River Valley Panthers (Blairsville, PA), 28-12 in a league battle.

With the win, Cambria Heights improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Highlanders host Purchase Line (Commodore, PA) to play the Red Dragons in a Heritage battle on Friday, August 30. The Red Dragons go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Purchase Line lost 34-6 in their recent league battle against Northern Cambria (Northern Cambria, PA)

The Panthers now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Conemaugh Township for a Heritage battle on Friday, August 30. River Valley will play a Indians team coming off a 42-0 league win over West Shamokin (Rural Valley, PA). The Indians record now stands at 1-0.
