The McDowell Titans topped the visiting Avery County Vikings volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Titans now have a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Freedom for a non-league test on Monday, August 28. McDowell will confront a Patriots team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Patton (Morganton, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 2-4.
