September 2, 2025: Sandersville, GA 31082 The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the East Laurens Falcons (East Dublin, GA) and the host Washington County Golden Hawks (Sandersville, GA), saw East Laurens's softball squad nip Washington County by a score of 8-1.
With the triumph, East Laurens improves its record to 7-2 on the year. The Falcons travel to Dodge County (Eastman, GA) to face the Indians in a 1A D-I Region 2 contest on Wednesday, September 3. The Indians enter the contest with a record of 3-6. Dodge County won 18-3 in their recent league contest against Jefferson County (Louisville, GA)
The Golden Hawks now hold a 8-6 record. They play next when they host Southwest for a 1A D-I Region 2 contest on Thursday, September 4. Washington County will face a Patriots squad coming off a 18-1 league loss to Academy for Classical Education (Macon, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 1-7.
