September 16, 2024: Cairo, GA 39828 The Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets softball team scored 3 runs and held the host Cairo Syrupmakers to 1 in the Yellow Jackets non-league win on Monday.
The Yellow Jackets now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lee County for a 5A Region 2 battle on Tuesday, September 17. Thomas County Central will confront a Trojans team coming off a 10-1 league loss to Veterans (Kathleen, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 9-7.
With the loss, Cairo moves to 8-6 on the season. The Syrupmakers travel to Baconton Charter (Baconton, GA) to confront the Blazers in a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 17. The Blazers come into the battle with a record of 6-8. Baconton Charter lost 19-8 in their recent non-league battle against Worth County (Sylvester, GA)
