Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) and the host Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets (Rawson, OH), observed Elgin's volleyball team top Cory-Rawson by a count of 3-0.

The Comets (10-2) will now prepare for their battle against Tree of Life Christian (Columbus, OH). The Trojans go into the non-league battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, Tree of Life Christian dropped by Shekinah Christian (Plain City, OH), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Fighting Hornets now own a 1-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Waynesfield-Goshen for a Northwest Central battle on Tuesday, September 23.
