Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI) fans went home in high spirits Monday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI), 14-6 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Mt. Hope improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Huskies travel to East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI) to play the Avengers in a non-league battle on Saturday, September 28. The Avengers go into the battle with a record of 1-2. East Greenwich won 22-0 in their recent non-league battle against Central Falls (Central Falls, RI)

The Chieftains now have a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Central Falls for a non-league battle on Monday, October 7. Ponaganset will play a Warriors team coming off a 22-0 non-league loss to East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI). The Warriors record now stands at 1-1.
