The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL) and the host Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL), witnessed Prairie Central's football squad edge Illinois Valley Central by a final score of 20-14.

With the win, Prairie Central advances its record to 3-2 on the season. The Hawks host Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL) to encounter the Rockets in a Illini Prairie bout on Friday, October 3. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Tolono Unity won 47-7 in their recent league bout against Pontiac (Pontiac, IL)

The Grey Ghosts now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Paxton-Buckley-Loda for a Illini Prairie contest on Friday, October 3. Illinois Valley Central will confront a Panthers squad coming off a 20-14 non-league loss to Tuscola (Tuscola, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 2-3.
