The Ashe County Huskies volleyball squad scored 3 points and held the visiting Wilkes Central Eagles to 0 in the Huskies league win on Tuesday.

Next up, the Huskies confront the East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC) in a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A game, on Thursday, October 2. Ashe County will attempt to advance on its 19-7 season record. The Cardinals go into the game with a 5-13 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Surry Central (Dobson, NC).

With the loss, Wilkes Central drops to 6-13 on the campaign. The Eagles host Alleghany (Sparta, NC) to play the Trojans in a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A outing on Thursday, October 2. The Trojans come into the outing with a record of 2-16. Alleghany lost 3-1 in their recent league outing against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC)
