North Carolina High School Volleyball - Ashe County over Alleghany

August 26, 2025: Sparta, NC 28675

Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) and the host Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), observed Ashe County's volleyball team top Alleghany by a count of 3-0.

The Huskies (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Watauga (Boone, NC). The Pioneers enter the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Watauga notched a victory over Hickory (Hickory, NC), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Trojans meet the Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) in a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A contest, on Thursday, August 28. Alleghany will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record. The Rams enter the contest with a 4-2 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC).
