Maryland High School Basketball - Northern tops Patuxent
January 10, 2022: Owings, MD 20736 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Northern Patriots (Owings, MD) and the visiting Patuxent Panthers (Lusby, MD), saw Northern's basketball squad knock off Patuxent by a count of 76-66.
With the victory, Northern upgrades its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Patriots host Great Mills (Great Mills, MD) to play the Hornets in a Southern Maryland challenge on Wednesday, January 12. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Great Mills won 57-56 in their recent non-league battle against Southern (Oakland, MD)
The Panthers (3-4) will now prepare for their battle against Chopticon (Morganza, MD). The Braves come into the Southern Maryland battle with a 3-4 record. In their last battle, Chopticon was toppled by Glen Burnie (Glen Burnie, MD), 52-45, in a non-league battle.
