North Carolina High School Basketball - Independence fells Rocky River

Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Rocky River CMS Athletics (Mint Hill, NC), 63-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Independence upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Patriots travel to Butler (Matthews, NC) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 4A Conference 59 bout on Friday, January 13. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 10-4. Butler won 62-36 in their recent non-league bout against Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC)

Next up, the CMS Athletics clash with the Garinger Wildcats (Charlotte, NC) in a 4A Conference 59 bout, on Friday, January 13. Rocky River will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 0-17 record after their 76-45 league loss to Providence (Charlotte, NC).
