The Garinger Wildcats basketball team (Charlotte, NC), was overwhelmed 67-41 in Friday's league battle with the host Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC)

The Patriots now possess a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Varina for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 22. Independence will confront a Blue Devils team coming off a 79-49 league win over Hanover (Mechanicsville, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 4-1.

The Wildcats (0-10) will now prepare for their battle against West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Hawks come into the non-league battle with a 0-7 record.
