North Carolina High School Basketball - Independence crushes West Mecklenburg

November 28, 2022: Charlotte, NC 28227

Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting West Mecklenburg Hawks (Charlotte, NC), 63-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Independence upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Patriots travel to West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 29. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 2-1. West Charlotte won 69-46 in their recent non-league bout against Robinson (Concord, NC)

Next up, the Hawks play the Sugar Creek Wildcats (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 1. West Mecklenburg will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 71-35 non-league loss to Greater Cabarrus Stallions (Concord, NC).
