The West Charlotte Lions (Charlotte, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), 50-44 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Lions (3-1) will now prepare for their test against Garinger (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, Garinger was tipped by Mooresville (Mooresville, NC), 71-21, in a non-league test.

The Patriots now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Mallard Creek for a non-league test on Thursday, December 1. Independence will encounter a Mavericks squad coming off a 85-46 non-league win over Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC). The Mavericks record now stands at 2-2.
