January 10, 2023: Eugene, OR 97402 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Sheldon Irish (Eugene, OR) and the host Willamette Wolverines (Eugene, OR), saw Sheldon's basketball squad overcome Willamette by a tally of 58-50.
With the victory, Sheldon improves its record to 5-9 on the campaign. The Irish host South Medford (Medford, OR) to confront the Panthers in a 6A Southwest challenge on Friday, January 13. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 6-4. South Medford won 71-59 in their recent league challenge against Roseburg (Roseburg, OR)
Next up, the Wolverines confront the Grants Pass Cavemen (Grants Pass, OR) in a 6A Southwest challenge, on Friday, January 13. Willamette will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record. The Cavemen come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 65-62 league loss to North Medford (Medford, OR).
