Rhode Island High School Basketball - St. Mary Academy-Bay View topped by La Salle Academy
January 10, 2023: Providence, RI 02908 The La Salle Academy Rams basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting St. Mary Academy-Bay View Bengals to 39 in the Rams league victory on Tuesday.
The Rams now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Classical for a State Championship contest on Thursday, January 12. La Salle Academy will battle a Purples team coming off a 47-46 league loss to Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI). The Purples record now stands at 1-5.
The Bengals (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI). The Rebels come into the State Championship contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, South Kingstown was defeated by Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI), 58-47, in a league contest.
