The Amphitheater Panthers basketball team (Tucson, AZ), was nudged 57-51 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Mica Mountain Thunderbolts (Tucson, AZ)

The Thunderbolts now possess a 14-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Walden Grove for a 4A Gila battle on Thursday, January 11. Mica Mountain will battle a Red Wolves team coming off a 78-57 league win over Douglas (Douglas, AZ). The Red Wolves record now stands at 8-9.

The Panthers (9-6) will now prepare for their battle against Sahuarita (Sahuarita, AZ). The Mustangs come into the 4A Gila battle with a 6-14 record. In their last battle, Sahuarita was nudged by Mica Mountain (Tucson, AZ), 80-32, in a league battle.
