The St. Anselm's Abbey Panthers (Washington, DC) basketball edged the visiting Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles (Washington, DC), 47-45 in Friday's league bout.

The Panthers now possess a 6-2 record. They play next when they host Spencerville Adventist Academy for a Potomac Valley bout on Sunday, January 12.

With the loss, Model Secondary School for the Deaf falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Eagles host BASIS (Washington, DC) to play the Red Giants in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 22. The Red Giants go into the bout with a record of 2-6.
