The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Patagonia Lobos (Patagonia, AZ) and the visiting Superior Panthers (Superior, AZ), observed Patagonia's basketball team edge Superior by a score of 55-50.

The Lobos (7-10) will now prepare for their challenge against The Gregory School (Tucson, AZ). The Hawks come into the 1A South battle with a 8-7 record. In their last battle, The Gregory School tipped Hayden (Winkelman, AZ), 63-58, in a non-league battle.

The Panthers now own a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cicero Prep Academy for a 1A East battle on Monday, January 12. Superior will meet a Centurions squad coming off a 72-51 league win over Ray (Kearny, AZ). The Centurions record now stands at 2-6.
