The Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC) basketball knocked off the host Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC), 40-26 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Timberwolves (7-5) will now prepare for their test against Central Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Spartans go into the 3A Conference 47 test with a 7-8 record. In their last test, Central Davidson went down by Asheboro (Asheboro, NC), 69-47, in a league test.

The Vikings now own a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to Southern Lee for a 3A/4A Conference 24 test on Friday, January 13.
