The Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) basketball nipped the host Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC), 31-28 in Friday's league test.

The Vikings (5-9) will now prepare for their test against Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC). The Patriots go into the 3A/4A Conference 24 test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Pinecrest got by Hoke County (Raeford, NC), 60-36, in a league test.
