The Scotland Fighting Scots topped the visiting Union Pines Vikings basketball team by a final score of 44-30 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Fighting Scots face the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 24 game, on Monday, January 30. Scotland will attempt to move on its 12-7 season record. The Patriots enter the game with a 9-4 record after their 62-27 league win over Southern Lee (Sanford, NC).
