The Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC) basketball knocked off the host Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC), 54-42 in Tuesday's league test.

The Fighting Scots (6-5) will now prepare for their test against Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC). The Rams go into the non-league test with a 10-1 record. In their last test, Purnell Swett notched a victory over Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC), 72-60, in a league test.

The Vikings now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Western Harnett for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 4. Union Pines will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 44-30 league loss to Overhills (Spring Lake, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 6-5.
