The Ashbrook Greenwave basketball team (Gastonia, NC), dropped 45-36 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC)

The Golden Lions now possess a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Thomas Jefferson for a non-league battle on Friday, January 13. Shelby will confront a Gryphons team coming off a 45-32 non-league win over East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Gryphons record now stands at 9-1.

The Greenwave (7-4) will now prepare for their battle against South Point (Belmont, NC). The Red Raiders come into the non-league battle with a 2-6 record. In their last battle, South Point dropped by Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC), 42-41, in a non-league battle.
