South Dakota High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon/Plankinton ripped by Platte/Geddes
January 11, 2024: Mt. Vernon, SD 57363 The Platte/Geddes Black Panthers basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans to 41 in the Black Panthers league triumph on Thursday.
The Black Panthers now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tripp-Delmont/Armour for a non-league contest on Friday, January 12. Platte/Geddes will battle a Nighthawks team coming off a 64-42 non-league win over Scotland (Scotland, SD). The Nighthawks record now stands at 4-2.
The Titans (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Elkton/Lake Benton (Elkton, SD). The Elks enter the non-league contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Elkton/Lake Benton triumphed over Arlington (Arlington, SD), 69-38, in a non-league contest.
