The Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Miller Rustlers to 38 in the Titans non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Titans now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sanborn Central/Woonsocket for a A Region 5 contest on Tuesday, December 19. Mt. Vernon/Plankinton will meet a Rebels team coming off a 54-26 non-league win over Corsica/Stickney (Corsica, SD). The Rebels record now stands at 4-0.

The Rustlers (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Cheyenne-Eagle Butte (Eagle Butte, SD). The Braves enter the A Region 6 contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte ran past Dupree (Dupree, SD), 61-48, in a non-league contest.
