Fitch Falcons (Groton, CT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Windham Whippets (Willimantic, CT), 64-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Fitch upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Falcons host Killingly (Killingly, CT) to clash with the Redmen in a non-league bout on Monday, January 16. The Redmen go into the bout with a record of 6-2.

Next up, the Whippets clash with the Griswold Wolverines (Griswold, CT) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 16. Windham will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 68-56 league win over Ledyard (Ledyard, CT).
