The Hobart Brickies (Hobart, IN) basketball felled the visiting Lowell Red Devils (Lowell, IN), 58-47 in Thursday's league test.

The Brickies (10-9) will now prepare for their test against Merrillville (Merrillville, IN). The Pirates go into the non-league test with a 4-16 record. In their last test, Merrillville was beaten by Crown Point (Crown Point, IN), 56-34, in a league test.

The Red Devils now own a 7-11 record. They play next when they travel to Culver Academies for a non-league test on Saturday, January 14. Lowell will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 45-31 non-league loss to Twin Lakes (Monticello, IN). The Eagles record now stands at 10-6.
