The Hanover Central Wildcats (Cedar Lake, IN) basketball nipped the visiting Hobart Brickies (Hobart, IN), 42-38 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Wildcats (11-8) will now prepare for their test against Lake Station Edison (Lake Station, IN). The Fighting Eagles go into the Greater South Shore test with a 14-4 record. In their last test, Lake Station Edison was tipped by Andrean (Merrillville, IN), 66-49, in a non-league test.

The Brickies now own a 11-10 record. They play next when they travel to Wheeler for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 24. Hobart will encounter a Bearcats squad coming off a 58-23 league loss to Hammond Bishop Noll (Hammond, IN). The Bearcats record now stands at 2-15.
