Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting John Marshall Monarchs (Glen Dale, WV), 46-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Preston upgrades its record to 4-6 on the season. The Knights travel to East Fairmont (Fairmont, WV) to play the Bees in a Big Ten bout on Wednesday, January 17. The Bees go into the bout with a record of 6-4. East Fairmont won 54-47 in their recent non-league bout against Parkersburg South (Parkersburg, WV)

Next up, the Monarchs play the Wheeling Park Patriots (Wheeling, WV) in a Two Rivers bout, on Friday, January 19. John Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record.
